More Than One Teacher Website On A Website

Mr. Christiansen has many students in his "team study" class which all require the need to know what information is on multiple teacher websites. To make this process easier he wanted a "screen" to have all of the teacher's daily info. In keeping with the RedZone Channel's Quad Box , I created a single page Google Site and inserted the iFrame gadget. The gadget simply requires one url for each gadget inserted. I chose the two column page layout and placed two gadgets on top of each other.

The result is a one stop shop for his students and their teacher resources.

SMARTboard For Quiz Bowl AP Psychology Review Activity

Mrs. Krause asked if I knew of a technology tool for helping with a review activity for AP Psychology. After some thinking, I realized the interactive part of the SMARTboard would be a perfect fit for a "first person to touch an object would get to answer the question" activity.

While the classroom teacher developed the questions, I created a file that would allow different animal sounds to be made when a student touched the SMARTboard. If the sounds did not work, a "flipper" slide was created.

Even high school students were "into it" by trying to be the first to touch the board and answer the questions! As Mrs. Krause stated, "It was a fun way to start class!"

TI-NSpire Software Implemented in High School Calculus

Mr. Bentz is fortunate to have students who are taking Calculus 2 in high school. Because of this, he was able to get seven TI-NSpire calculators. Along with this, he has the software which can be implemented with the SMARTboard.

View how Mr. Bentz talks about how the SMARTboard allows for students to interact with the EXACT tool that students can use on the AP exam. While I have the iPad version of the TI-NSpire, the app IS NOT allowed on the AP test.

Mrs. Heck is creating some mathematics videos for a student who is unable to attend school at this time. Using SMART notebook, Bamboo Connect Pen, SMART notebook video recorder, YouTube, and her blog the student has a personal tutor that understands the content.
